[via iblameuk]

So, I'm restarting as this is March first. I haven't been doing great as a vegetarian, I've been eating meat once a day. Trying to do this vegetarian thing I've noticed that I don't like a wide variety of things. And most of my meals have consisted of some type of grain. And I've been trying new recipes, but I haven't really been liking any of them.

So, I think I'm going to add fish and chicken back into my diet, I'm going to get free range when I can. Am still going to be gluten and lactose free. I'm going to monitor my calories and fat intake. And I'm going to keep the carbs as low as possible, aiming for under 150 grams a day.

I also exercise 3 times this week. On my research on cardio, I read that we only have to exercise 10 to 25 minutes a day. That gets our heat rate up and helps build endurance.This is great news for me, because I don't like cardio. I'd much rather do strength training. I really want to get Les Mills Pump, it looks amazing.

It's The End

[via d0ubtful]

Today is the last day of the month, it went by so quickly. In twenty-one more days it's going to be spring., and in Florida it means it's going to be hot ;-;

I accomplished very little this month. My job in itself is easy, but there is so much wrong to be, really it's enough work for two full-time people. Hopefully, my boss will listen to me and hire another person to help.

Speaking of work, my company is opening another branch three hours from here. I meet the receptionist for that office a couple days ago. We hung out and talked about anime and what not. I really liked her, she's really nice. So, we are going to keep on contact through email. We also exchanged anime and other TV shows on our harddrives. I got some Asian Dramas from her, Mars, Goong, Liars Game and Boys Before Flowers. I started watching Mars yesterday, I only watched the first five minutes because I was at work, but I'm enjoying it already. I watched a little bit of Liars Game, I only watched the first five minutes and I'm already stressed out, I don't know if I'm going to make it through the eleven episodes.

100 Things Challenge, Step One

Yesterday, I cleaned the area that was in front of my bed. All that's there now is an old computer and a bag.

While I was cleaning noticed that I have a lot of media; DVD's, CD's, etc. I decide the invest in a large capacity external HHD. I'm going to make digital copies of all the things that I have and then get rid of them. That would clear up a lot of clutter.

I sat down and tried to make a list of 100 things I wanted to keep, and could only thing of 30 things. My goal when I move is to have all my thing contained to two to four boxes and one to two suit cases. I think it's doable. I just need to stay on top of things so I can get it done.

100 Things Challenge

For those of you who have been following me for a while know that one of my goals in life is to be a minimalist. So, to inspire myself to move forward I've been watching minimalist videos on youtube. And I came across a vlog that discuses the 100 things challenge. Basically, the premise of the challenge is to dwindled all your belonging to 100 items.

I feel inspired to do thing, but I must admit that the thought of it is rather daunting and down right scary. I grew up with a grandmother who is a hoarder. And then my parents on the other hand are not, they throw things out, but I wouldn't consider them minimalist, just neat.

I, unfortunately, picked up my grandmothers habit. I talked about this before, I didn't have a space that I could call my own when I was a child. And I tihnk now somewhere in the back of my mind I use the junk to push people out of my living space because I don't want to share.

Right now, looking around my room I see so many things that I can get rid of, but for some reason I'm finding it difficult to let go. And I'm not really sure what the emotional attachment to any of these things are.There are some things sitting in here that I haven't touch literally in years. And I'm sure I have things that I don't even realize that I own. I think the most overwhelming thing is figuring out where to start.

I've pulled some books off of my shelf, but I haven't gotten much farther than that.I think that maybe, writing down the things I want to keep will help this seem less daunting.

It's Friday!

It's finally Friday ;-;.

This week has been so busy, I'm looking forward to the two day break. As you know I am on the road to minimalism. Last night, I made the decision to get rid of all of my books, except for a handful (mainly books that are out of print and can't be replaced). I plan on keeping my two favorite books Time Bomb by Johnathan Kellerman and Rose Madder by Stephen King. And my art history book from college and my dollhouse miniaturist books (these books are out of print), and my Japanese language books. So, I'll have a total of 15 books instead of the 100+ that I have. Then I can get rid of my book shelves.

That all I have planned for the time being, I haven't decided what to do with the rest of my stuff, but this is a crucial first step. I've been watching videos on Youtube about minimalist individuals. I admire people who are able to let go of all their possessions and live off the bare minimum. I might try selling my books online to see if I can make some extra cash towards my car/moving funds.

In one of the videos I was watching there was a man who lived in a house boat. I was so cool and it seems like such a simple life. In the grand scheme of things I want to live as simply as possible. I think the simpler one lives the easier life can be. Along with looking at RV's to live in I'm gong to check out house boats and converting old shipping containers into living space.

P.S. This picture has nothing to do with what I was talking about, but it was to cute to pass up.

Hello

I haven't been able to get online or even check the blogs I follow for a couple of days now. Work has been super busy and I've been behind in my work since the end of January. I'm almost caught up though. I'm about three days behind now instead of three weeks.

Since, I've been so stressed at work it's completely sucked all of my creative energy. I haven't touched my granny square blanket in over a week. I haven't really watched TV, I go home a stare at blank walls just so my mind has a chance to do nothing at all.

And now I have to start packing for my move in May, I only have three months left. Where has the time gone? I'm going to get some boxes from work and I'm going to start putting stuff in boxes now. I have a few things that need to go to Good Will. So with those things gone it will help with the clearing out and organizing. I have several books that I need to get rid of, that will allow me to get rid of some of my book shelves.

I have a feeling this is going to be a busy year. *tired*

Shopping Deals

Good Morning...-_- so tired.

This weekend I found some really good deals. I went to Target and found a new top it was $22 dollars and I got in on sale for $11. Then I went to Kmart and found a Revlon nail polish for $1 and I found a pair of pants for $10 and I got them for $3. I love it when I find good deals.

I also found the Blowfish Wycliff in black in a size 10. I swear some shoe companies act like women don't have feet bigger than an 8. I will be getting those on Wednesday, I'm so excited about them. I'm still looking for the Jeffrey Campbell 99 in Mint, I should have gotten them when I saw them, and like a dummy I didn't ;-;

I also did my hair this weekend. Normally, I detangle my hair when in the shower, and the hot water runs out before I finish. Well, this weekend I decided to detangle my hair before getting into the shower. And after I finished detangling each section I twisted it and secured the ends. I then shampooed, conditioned, and deep conditioned my hair in the twist.I was in and out the shower in less than fifteen minutes, I'm usually in there for an hour *oops*

Then this morning I flat ironed my hair...at my desk at work. I got here early so no one was here while I was doing it. And I did in an hour since my hair was thoroughly detangled. Last night I blow dried my hair and them braided each section and slept on it. Then when I got to work I undid a braid at a time brushed it sprayed it with Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Spray, then sprayed with Silk Elements MegaSilk Olive Heat Protection Spray. And I set my flat iron to 320° degrees.This is the best straightening session that I've ever had. Even my roots, that are 3C/4A texture and straight. And I discovered a paddle brush is my best friend.
