My name is Shani (Shah-nee) and I'm a Christian. I grew up in Evanston, IL, a small suburb fifteen minutes north of Chicago, but live in Tampa, FL for now. Through God's grace I'll be able to move to a city that is more suitable for me. I graduated from college in 2007 with a degree in Visual Arts. I also love computer graphics and photography.
Why Love's Modesty?
1 Corinthians 13
I had written blogs before, but they never felt right to me. I was never able to give my blog a name that really sat well with me and expressed what I was trying to do. I wanted a name that could grow with me as the years went on.
I asked the Lord if he could give me a name that would resonate with me. And a couple days later Love's Modesty popped into my head. And I like it.
Love is a very modest emotion. It's patient, comforting, humble, and kind. This is something that I need to remind myself of constantly., especially living in a world were love seems to be something that is taken for granted.
This blog is going to cover my journey to self-love, neighborly love, and eventually the love of a husband and child when the Lord blesses me with them.
