Welcome Autumn

We have officially entered the best time of the year, Autumn. Well technically it isn't until the equinox on the 21st, but I consider it the official kick off to the best part of the year.

It's not the best part because it's the end of the year. It's the best part because it means beautiful scenery every where you turn. Oversized comfy sweaters, hot soup, apple cider, pumpkins and of course the return of our favorite shows and fall specials, yay Charlie Brown.

What's your favorite part of the season? I love walking in the leaves, there's nothing quite like freshly fallen leaves. I would always pick up the prettiest ones and place them in an old book so I could look at them through out the year. Sadly, I live in Florida now, and we don't experience fall like my hometown of Evanston, IL. While I'm grateful that it has gotten cooler, I still miss frolicking through the leaves.

  1. I love the picture of the sidewalk of leaves...looks like heaven...I too live in Florida (I'm from Ohio) and alas....no fall foliage.

  2. I know, it so sad. Every so often I see fallen leaves, but it's usually in the winter. I think we've been spoiled growing up in the mid-west.

  3. My fiance and I are going to Upstate NY (where he is from) and on to Canada for our vacation at the end of the month! I can't wait! I'll post tons of pics for us mid-westerns to enjoy =)
